Soldering & repair
Position the capture hood close to the soldering point. Keep the inlet clear and arrange the hose to leave room for tools and hands.
Light welding tasks
MN02 supports light welding applications. Confirm the process and fume load with the factory before selection, and assess source capture and room ventilation together.
Suitability depends on the material, smoke load and hose arrangement. A matching connector alone does not establish compatibility with every laser or welding process.
MN02 / FOUR-LAYER FILTER SYSTEM
Identify every layer before maintenance.
These are MN02 filter components. Order by model and layer; the shared MN01 / MN01W filter set should not be assumed compatible.
The first black foam layer is washable. Follow the care instructions and allow it to dry fully before refitting. Do not assume the pre-filter, HEPA or carbon layers can be washed. Carbon helps adsorb odors and certain gaseous contaminants; performance depends on the substances and conditions.
MAINTENANCE BY FILTER CONDITION
Service each layer separately.
Inspect the first layers
Switch off and unplug before opening the unit. Check the washable foam and pre-filter for loading when airflow drops or the filter reminder sounds.
Keep the layers in order
Each filter layer can be serviced or replaced separately. Follow the installation order and airflow direction, and use MN02-compatible components.
Track your operating conditions
Filter life depends on the material, smoke concentration and operating time. Inspect the HEPA and carbon layers as well as the first-stage filters.
Do not treat reduced odor as proof that all contaminants have been removed. Confirm source capture and room ventilation for your process.

The standard configuration includes 5 extra pre-filter pads, 1 extra black foam filter and a 2 m flexible hose. Confirm the full supplied configuration in your selected offer or quotation.
MN02 uses a 65 mm articulated capture hose and a 76 mm flexible hose. The flexible hose is 2 m long. Send your machine port measurements so we can confirm any required adapter.

How does MN02 differ from MN01 and MN01W?
MN02 uses a 200W motor, manufacturer-stated 177 CFM airflow and four filter layers, including a washable first-stage foam layer. MN01 and MN01W use a 105W, three-stage configuration; MN01W adds the outdoor exhaust option.
Can MN02 connect to my laser engraver?
Provide the machine model, port diameter, enclosure, material and smoke load. We will check the hose connection and extraction requirements. Compatibility should be confirmed for the exact setup.
Which filter can be washed?
The first-stage black foam is identified as washable. Follow the care instructions and dry it fully before reuse. Do not wash the other layers unless their specific instructions allow it.
How often should the filters be replaced?
Use filter condition and operating demands to plan maintenance. No universal interval is specified here for MN02. Check loading, airflow and the filter reminder, and replace individual layers as needed.
